Hi Huskies! Just a few reminders for your phenomenal Halloween Costumes that you can wear to school on Friday.
Halloween Guidelines for Dress:
-Costumes must follow the dress code
-No excessive gore
-No full-face masks or full-face paint (students need to be recognizable)
-No weapons or facsimiles (look-a-likes)
-No racially, sexually, or insensitive dress, messages, wording, etc.
-Costumes that glorify violence or display drugs or alcohol are not appropriate.
-It cannot be an obstruction or distraction in the classroom (i.e. flags, inflatables)

We're hosting our auditions on October 21st from 4:30-6:30 PM in the Black Gym at Lone Peak High School. Despite the name, our auditions are open to everyone, and no students are turned away based on experience or skill level. The formal audition process is only for students interested in our Varsity team.
We're really hoping to grow our program this season and introduce more students to an activity they might not otherwise have the chance to experience. Students who are interested but unable to attend on October 21st are still welcome to join, and we can make arrangements with them individually.

Every submission earns a goodie bag, and the top entries will advance to the next round. All entries are Due October 20th.

It is a privilege to join the Mountain Ridge family. I am excited to work with the Mountain Ridge students, teachers and community. I live in the community and my children have all gone to Mountain Ridge. My children have all been positively impacted by the teachers and staff at Mountain Ridge and I have been impressed through the years by the efforts made by the MRJH teachers to help students succeed.
I have been a Jr. High assistant principal for 16 years. I have loved being a part of helping schools improve and helping Jr. High students learn and gain confidence in themselves. I love the energy of Jr. Highs and seeing students develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions that will help them succeed throughout their lives. I love seeing the impact teachers make in their student's lives and I love seeing teachers collaborate to identify best practices and make data driven decisions to improve their instruction.
I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the students, teachers, parents and staff of Mountain Ridge. I am excited to be a part of helping this school continue to thrive and get better each year.
